Yelena Espinosa is an independent photographer based in Mexico, whose documentary work is focused in social and cultural issues, gender, human rights, global health and responsible storytelling.

She has participated in solo and group exhibitions around the world. (Mexico, Bolivia, USA, Italy, France, Iran, The Netherlands, etc.) 

 Her images are present in magazines and in more than a dozen books, such as: Manos y prodigios (2009). Xochitlalpan, tierra de flores (2011). El rostro del tiempo. La vejez en el Estado de México (2010, 2018) Entre la violencia y la dignidad. Experiencias de vida (2015), Entre el sentir y el pensar (2018). Coatepec Harinas (2020). Jilotepec (2020). Among others. 

 Producer and director of documentaries on social, gender and global health issues. 

 Has collaborated with the Government of the State of Mexico, National Women Institute of Mexico, United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Microclinic International, among others.
